春学期English Café Luncheonを開催しました
In what place does yesterday come after today? The 27 participants of the English Café Luncheon –part of our school-wide English in Action program– heard this and other English riddles on Friday, June 23, at lunchtime. The luncheon brought together first-year and second-year students as well as 3 faculty members to spend lunchtime in the SL Center lounge talking in English.
In data collected at registration for the luncheon, the top reason that students had for coming to the luncheon was that their teacher had told them about it. The next most popular reason was the creative posters that the student organizers had made to publicize the luncheon. Student leaders also prepared games to play at each table in English.
One participant at the luncheon said the time seemed to go by too quickly because she was having fun.
English Café Luncheon is open to all students and free of charge. Please look for the posters in Fall semester, and join the luncheon. By the way, yesterday comes after today in the English dictionary!
